We, the people of faith of Christ the King Parish, called through baptism, rooted in the living gospel of Christ, commit ourselves to grow in our faith, to build community, to be leaders in the sacramental church of God’s people and to be in solidarity with our brothers and sisters near and far.
In 1951 the Trenton people decided that they should have their own Roman Catholic church.
Up until that time the faithfull were required to travel to St.John's Parish in the North End of New Glasgow.
The news was received with great joy and satisfaction by lending a helping hand as electricians, carpenters
and various other workers
in the congregation saw the church completed. At first the church remained a mission of St. John's Parish.
By the following year the church was named Christ the King and Trenton's first parish priest arrived, Rev Rod MacPherson.
